Kennesaw is located in the northern part of Cobb County, Ga, it is part of the greater Atlanta metro area. It was founded in 1887. During the Civil War, what is now known as Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Apr 12,1862 Great Locomotive Chase. If you have not been downtown recently here are photos of the start of the Revival on Main Street construction project across from City Hall.
